Have you ever slept around a “stokkeld”?  That is an experience you are likely never to forget. A “stokkeld” is a fire made of two big logs lying on top of each other burning both up and down through the night, and you will sleep with your feet towards the fire and your face towards the stars.

You can also spend the night in a “lavvo” around the fire like the Sami people did during the summer.
